Pantone Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid

Recently, the Pantone Color Institute announced "Radiant Orchid" as the 2014 color of the year.  The color purple has actually been popular in weddings for quite some time now, but I'm sure we will see an increase in the use of this color. Spring and Summer Wedding Color Inspiration

Fancy Fashion Friday

The wedding shoe has gone fancy!  Today's bridesmaids and brides have several options to choose from when selecting a shoe to accessorize their dresses.  Gone are the days of wearing a simple, dyeable satin shoe (thankfully!).  There are many styles today, such as the t-strap, bling-inspired, ankle strap, bows and flowers, and even flat sandals.  See below and try one on for size.

Occasions Expo

On yesterday I attended the Occasions Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center .  Unlike a bridal show, the Occasions Expo highlighted events of all kind.  There were planners, caterers, stationery designers, floral designers, linen companies, event rentals, and even a portable cigar lounge ( I can't wait to use this at one of my events!!!).  Check out a few of my snaps below.   

 

Dessert Inspiration: Is the HOT sign on?

Yes, I'm talking about the HOT sign at your local Krispy Kreme!  Who can resist, a sweet, and warm donut when you're in the mood for something sweet? If donuts are your thing, serve them at your wedding, or special event.  They make great favors, or late night snacks. You can have them passed or displayed as a donut bar.
