Real Raven J. Event: "40 in the City" Birthday Celebration

Hi everyone!  I'm very excited to share detail pictures from a recent 40th birthday party that I planned and coordinated for a client.  She was an absolute joy to work, the perfect client to be exact.  When she contacted me she explained that she wanted a simple but elegant affair and that is exactly what I produced.  Take a look below.

As you can see above, the venue has lots of natural beauty and personality, with the exposed brick walls, chandeliers and awesome lighting and wall fixtures.  We chose to use white table linens and gold chiavari chairs for a clean look and feel.  I used gold sequin table runners with lots of candles for just the right touch of elegance.

Real Raven J. Event: Sydney's Sip and See

Hi everyone!  Things have been pretty busy around here, but I am excited to share pics from a recent event I planned.  You're probably wondering, what exactly is a Sip and See?  A Sip and See is a southern tradition where parents welcome friends and family into their home to meet their new baby.  Similar to a shower, except the Sip and See takes place after the baby is born.  For my client's Sip and See, we chose a pink and gold color scheme.  There were several "Sips" for the guests to enjoy including pink lemonade, sherbet punch and my favorite, a bubbly bar featuring mango, orange and cranberry mimosas.  The guests nibbled on heavy hors d'oeuvres and spent the rest of the day doting on baby Sydney!  It was such a joy to help this couple plan their first baby's sip and see.  I hope you enjoy some of the detail pictures below.

Raven J. Event: 50 Shades of Pink Bridal Shower

I had the pleasure of planning a bridal shower for one of my SWEETEST friends and sorority sisters. Since pink was her primary wedding color, we chose to design the shower using the same color scheme. To coincide with the theme, "50 Shades of Pink", the guests dressed in their favorite shade of pink. To match the brides trendy personality, I chose to line the tables in a fun fuschia and white chevron print table runner, accented with hot pink roses, individually boxed cupcakes and paper fans for favors which her a HUGE hit with the guests. We played fun games and celebrated the bride for the wonderful person that she is. See the pictures below and be inspired!

Heart over Heels Recap

Whoo-sah! Yes, you read that right!  As much as I love to plan a good event, I'm just as excited when it's all said and done.  Heart over Heels was such a success and we are very grateful for it.  I have to give a special thank you to the vendors who showcased their fabulous products and services including, Fire N Ice Boutique , Blue Stilletto, Trendie Tops, Urban Blu3, Beverly Johnson of Mary Kay, DoSol Jewelry, Lashes by AJ, and Stephanie Spieth of Beijo Bags.  The guests enjoyed yummy rum and red velvet flavored cupcakes from Jadey Cakes, while mingling to the sounds of Mr. E! The Motivator.  Lastly, thank you to the many ladies who attended our event.  We know that you love a good Girls Nite Out just as much as we do :-).  Although the focus of the event was "sipping and shopping", Heart over Heels served as a great platform for women entrepreneurs to connect and inspire others to go after their dreams too.  Check out a few pics from the event below.

It's Girl's Nite Out!

Atlanta Venue: Aurum

Recently I had the pleasure of touring a chic and trendy venue in Midtown Atlanta by the name of Aurum.  This venue is well known for it's party scene, but what most don't know is that Aurum can be rented for private events too.  Such is the case for my client's upcoming birthday celebration.  She's celebrating the last year in her twenties, and requested a venue that's grown, but glamorous.  Aurum, with it's luxe touches of gold, and glam, will definitely fit the bill!
